Consultation Services for New Parents


Welcoming a new baby into the family is a wonderful event. But for many, it can also be a time of confusing emotions and severe anxiety. This can impact mothers as well as their partners and the entire family unit. SmartCare BHCS wants you to know that you’re not alone. We work with families and their Primary Care Providers to help. The SmartCare BHCS Clinical Team of Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioner, Licensed Therapists and Educators are here to help families locate support services in the community.

Did you know 10-15% of all women develop postpartum depression? Symptoms can occur any time during pregnancy and up to 12 months after having a baby. Whether this is your first pregnancy or not, Vista Hill SmartCare is here to help.

  • Are you experiencing intense anger and irritability?
  • Is your partner experience severe mood swings after having a baby?
  • Are you having difficulty bonding with your baby?
  • Are you experiencing guilt, shame or feelings of inadequacy?
  • Have you had thoughts of harming yourself or your baby?
